Zoe and Richard’s wedding was intimate, personal and refreshingly unfussy.

They celebrated with just 30 of their closest friends and family at Public Wine Shop in Fitzroy North, creating something that felt more like a beautiful dinner party than a traditional wedding. Rain moved their ceremony indoors, where they married in front of the fireplace and a wonderfully unexpected arrangement of garlic, grapes and artichokes.

Every detail felt considered and deeply personal, from fabric offcuts from their wedding outfits woven into the styling to invitations inspired by Zoe’s dad’s handwriting. Food, wine and conversation were at the heart of the celebration, with a long-table dinner carrying everyone through the evening. Guests were invited to draw portraits of one another as an icebreaker, filling the room with laughter and connection.

The whole day felt playful, warm and grounded in the things Zoe and Richard genuinely love: good food, creativity, friendship and each other.
