I grew up in Varennes, a small town known for its cornfields on Montreal's south shore, before life eventually carried me to Northern NSW, Australia. Mondaine started with something simple. I wanted to broaden the tableware on offer for people who, like me, notice the details. Shapes, colours, textures. Pieces that feel good in your hand, against your lips, beautiful to look at. Rental companies had beautiful furniture. I just wanted to be the cherry on top, dressing the table with pieces like these. Most are sourced from artists and artisans around the world: Tuscany, New York, Japan, right here in Australia. My way of supporting art I love. As Mondaine grew, I realised it was never really about the objects. It's about creating moments that make people feel something: joy, surprise, nostalgia, connection.
Create with intention and love with a capital L. Host with warmth. Look after every detail, then quietly step away. That's the Mondaine way.
No formulas, no recycled looks. Mondaine starts with your ideas, your memories, the stuff that actually means something to you, and builds a celebration around that. You bring the vision. Alexandra brings the eye for detail and a very established network of venues, florists, chefs and photographers to make it happen.
A smile. Eye contact. A cheeky joke to break the ice. That's where it starts. Then it's good food and drink made by people who genuinely care about their craft, and music, because no room comes alive without it.

What does Mondaine do, and where?
What does Mondaine do, and where?
Mondaine is an event planning, styling and rental studio. We plan and style weddings, private gatherings and brand experiences (think product launches and brand events) across Australia and beyond, and we hire out our tableware collection anywhere in Australia. Working with us also means access to Our Network, the venues, florists, chefs, photographers and musicians we've built relationships with over the years, so you're not starting your search from scratch.
How do the planning and styling packages work?
How do the planning and styling packages work?
We offer three levels, depending on how much you want to hand over. Styling Assistance and Day Coordination is for couples and people planning it themselves who'd value an expert on call, plus someone to take over vendor management and logistics in the final month. Partial Planning and Styling is a mix of collaboration and support: we source trusted suppliers and develop the styling concept while you stay involved in the decisions that matter. Full Planning and Styling is the whole thing, handled from the first conversation to the final candle being lit, for people who want to stay present and let go of the logistics entirely. The earlier you reach out with a date, the more options we'll have, especially for full planning.

Every hire includes a 20% security deposit, released within 7 days of your event provided everything comes back in its original condition with no outstanding charges, and a non-refundable Damage Waiver Fee (calculated on the value of your hire) that covers accidental damage to things like tableware, glassware and small decor pieces. On returns: crockery, cutlery, stands and glassware need to come back clean (a $80 per 40 items washing fee applies if they don't); napkins and tablecloths don't need washing since laundering is included, but permanent stains or wax damage are charged at replacement cost (napkins $11 each, tablecloths $220 each); fabrics, candle holders and vases can come back unwashed; and candles should always burn in a holder that fully contains the flame and wax, fully extinguished and set before anything is moved, since wax damage can incur a cleaning or replacement fee.
